When people search for “Axiom exchange”, they mean an app for buying and selling tokens on Solana. Axiom is not an exchange in the usual sense, though. It has no order book of its own, and your money does not sit in a company account but in a wallet created when you sign up. It is a trading terminal, a layer on top of the blockchain. The difference matters because it decides what you pay, what can go wrong, and who is responsible for your funds.
What Axiom Trade is
Axiom describes itself as a hybrid of a trading app and a wallet. You open the site, sign in, fund the wallet with SOL and trade tokens on the Solana network: at market, with limit orders or with a quick-buy button. Trades settle on the blockchain, while Axiom acts as the interface and router that finds a good path through Pump.fun, Raydium and other pools.
The company was founded in April 2024 by Henry Zhang and Preston Ellis. It later joined Y Combinator’s Winter 2025 batch and raised $500,000 in pre-seed funding. Public estimates of its growth: by mid-2025, more than $15 billion in trading volume and about 650,000 wallets. These are third-party estimates rather than an audit, and it says little about today’s market: Solana terminals compete hard, and the leaders change.
To keep the terms straight, compare three kinds of venue. A centralized exchange (Binance, Coinbase) holds your money and matches orders inside its own system. Decentralized ones (Raydium, Uniswap) is a set of smart contracts where you swap tokens directly. Terminals like Axiom sit on top of such contracts as a convenient shell with charts, filters and fast buttons. They do not keep your tokens on their own balance: per the FAQ the platform is non-custodial, and wallets are handled by a partner called Turnkey.
What the platform can do
Axiom’s signature feature is called Pulse. It is a feed of tokens that have just appeared, are nearing the end of the Pump.fun bonding curve, or have already migrated to Raydium. You can filter each token by the share held by top holders, developer, snipers and insiders, the number of holders, liquidity and volume. This chain of “find, check, buy” is what makes the product popular with memecoin traders.
The rest of the toolkit goes like this. Bundle Checker flags purchases that look coordinated, when four or more transactions land in the same block, and the documentation itself warns that false positives and misses are possible. Wallet tracking and Tweet Monitor show trades from chosen addresses and new posts from X right inside the interface, while limit orders and migration actions let you set an entry or exit price in advance.
SOL staking through Axiom’s validator carries no commission. The axiSOL token costs more: 5% of earnings and 0.1% on withdrawal (as of June 9, 2026; check current terms in the app). A separate section offers perpetual futures via Hyperliquid with a multiplier of up to 50x and USDC collateral.
How to use Axiom: sign-up and first steps
The documentation’s guide goes like this:
// Step by step
- Open the site and click “Signup”. You can sign in with email, a Google account or a Phantom wallet. If you chose email, enter the code from the message.
- Create a password.
- Save the secret recovery phrase that Axiom shows you. Never show it to anyone and do not keep it in the cloud or in a phone note: anyone who sees it gets access to the money.
- Fund the wallet. You can send SOL from an exchange or another wallet to the address shown, or buy crypto through the Coinbase partnership: per the FAQ, the no-verification limit is $500 per week.
- Before your first trade, open settings and set the priority fee, the validator tip and the MEV protection mode.
You can sign up for Axiom through our partner link in a couple of minutes. It is a referral link: the editorial team receives part of the fee from your trades, and, per the program description, you get a 10% discount on trading fees. The documentation does not say how that discount combines with the volume-based cashback, so check the final rate in the app.
A tip for beginners: make your first trade with an amount whose loss you can shrug off. Beginners’ mistakes in terminals like this often start with the thought “this time it will surely go up”.
What trades cost
Axiom’s base fee is 1% of the trade. According to the tier table, it falls as volume grows: a newcomer on the Wood tier pays a net 0.95% (0.05% comes back as SOL cashback), while the top Champion tier pays 0.75% with 0.25% cashback. Five more tiers sit in between: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.
A simple calculation. You buy $1,000 of a token and sell it a week later at the same price. On the Wood tier you pay about $9.50 on the buy and the same on the sell, roughly $19 in Axiom fees alone. On top come Solana network fees and slippage, which on thin markets can eat more than the fee itself. This is an estimate from the documented rates, not an exact receipt.
Two settings also cost money. Priority fee and the validator tip both default to 0.001 SOL: per the documentation, they speed up confirmation, especially when the network is busy. MEV protection mode (Off, Reduced, Secure) determines how well you are shielded from sandwich attacks, where a bot wedges itself in front of and behind your trade. Axiom recommends Secure, though it can be slower.
How safe Axiom is
Technically, the scheme is that you own the wallet keys, and the recovery phrase lets you move everything to Phantom, Rabby or Solflare. Axiom itself advises doing so. The sign-up page in the documentation does not mention two-factor protection, which is worth keeping in mind: store your main money in a separate wallet and move only a working amount into the terminal.
Frequently asked questions
?Is Axiom an exchange?
No. It is a non-custodial trading terminal and wallet for Solana. Trades run on the blockchain through third-party liquidity pools, while Axiom provides the interface, tools and routing.
?Does Axiom require identity verification (KYC)?
Signing up asks for no documents: email, Google or Phantom is enough. Buying crypto by card through the Coinbase partner without verification is limited to $500 per week. Check the rules for your country separately: the documentation does not list regional restrictions.
?Which blockchains does Axiom support?
Per the FAQ, the platform works with Solana and promises other networks later. The separate perpetuals section runs through Hyperliquid and uses USDC.
?How do I withdraw money from Axiom?
Tokens sit in your wallet, so you can send them to any address on the Solana network, for example to an exchange. The recovery phrase also lets you import the wallet into Phantom, Rabby or Solflare and move everything without Axiom’s involvement.
?What is an Axiom referral link and what is it for?
It is a link through which a new user gets a 10% discount on trading fees and the person who invited them receives part of the fee from their trades. The link in this article is a partner link: sign up for Axiom .
?Will Axiom launch its own token?
There is no official confirmation. The platform has a points system for trades, quests and invitations, but the company has not announced a token.
?Does Axiom have a demo account (paper trading)?
Axiom’s documentation describes no demo trading mode. Independent browser extensions for virtual trades exist, but they do not belong to Axiom and the editorial team has not tested them: check the permissions an extension asks for before installing it.
?Do I need to download Axiom, or is there an app?
Axiom describes itself as a web platform: it runs in the browser and needs no installation. The documentation does not mention a separate mobile app. Open the site only through links from official sources: phishing copies of wallets and terminals are a common trap.
?How do I top up Axiom?
Send SOL to the wallet address that Axiom shows you, or buy crypto through the Coinbase partnership: per the platform’s FAQ, you can buy up to $500 a week without verification. The perpetuals section needs USDC as collateral.
What to remember in the end
Axiom solves a narrow task well: find a new Solana token fast, check it for obvious traps and buy it in two clicks. But it is a tool for speed, and speed in memecoins cuts both ways. A good terminal shows who holds a token. It cannot keep your money safe: each time, the decision is yours.
